Thought to be tricky - but actually among the easiest dessert you could rustle up. Not only perfect for Pancake Day! (this year - the second Tuesday in February) but ideal for anytime... you'll probably already have the ingredients!!!
For 6-8 pancakes you'll need:
150g Plain Flour
30g Butter (melted)
Your choice of toppings: Recommend chocolate & Strawberries, Lemon & Sugar, Syrup and fresh cream.... go wild!
Dark, bitter sweet, spongey and utterly decadent - particularly when slathered in fresh fruit and chocolate sauce and served with ice cream! (yeah, ice cream at breakfast IS a thing - when you're on holiday at least!)
For around 12-16 pancakes you'll need:
300g Plain Flour
80g Cocoa Powder
360 ml Milk
60 ml Butter (melted)
4 Tsp Baking Powder
2 Tbsp Sugar
I served mine with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and fresh strawberries.
Whether you know them as drop-scones, griddle cakes or pancakes - these are less like the French crepe style and more like the American pancake... these though are laced with orange in the batter, then topped off with Cranberries or Chocolate - or both! To make around 15 you'll need:
2 Oranges (Zest & Juice)
A little Milk (vague because it'll depend on the juiciness of your oranges!)
